How to Cut Fruit For Yourself™ Online Group Coaching Program © 6 Weeks - Starts Tuesday 29th April 2025

A gentle rebellion against self-neglect, anchored in culture, care and community.

If it speaks your language, even the one you rarely use - this space was made with you in mind.

You’ve spent so much of your life pouring into others. Meeting expectations. Making things work. Keeping the peace. And somewhere along the way, you forgot how to offer that same tenderness to yourself.

This program is your reminder. A quiet revolution. A reclaiming.

“Cutting fruit” is more than a gesture - it’s how many of us were taught to love. Quietly. Practically. Wordlessly. This program invites you to turn that gesture inward, to learn what it means to cut fruit for yourself - not just in metaphor, but in meaningful action.

We’re not here to push productivity. We’re here to help you pause, breathe, and build rituals of care that feel like home. This program is about slowing down. Paying attention. Learning to offer the kind of care you’ve always given so freely to others… to yourself.

We won’t ask you to hustle or fix yourself. We’re simply inviting you to come home to yourself, gently.

Let’s carve a small part of your week to "cut fruit" for yourself - even a small piece. In doing so, you’ll learn to take the invaluable lessons and strengths of your cultural upbringing and use them to nurture self-kindness and care in your adult life.

Join our signature coaching program designed to help you relearn, reconnect with self-kindness, and build nourishing rhythms - especially if you’re holding space for everyone else.

You will take invaluable lessons and strengths of your cultural upbringing and use them to nurture self kindness and care in your adult life.

You don’t need to be fully ready.

You just need to be willing.

Fruitfully Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the significance of “cutting fruit”?

For many of us who grew up in immigrant or collectivist households, care didn’t always sound like "I love you." It looked like someone staying up late to portion out fruit into little plates. A quiet offering. A gesture of love without the performance.

This program takes that tender tradition and turns it inward. What does it mean to care for yourself in small, nourishing, consistent ways? That’s what we explore together.

The act of "cutting fruit" is a simple yet deeply meaningful gesture rooted in many ethnic families. Overt expressions of love weren't always the norm. Instead, care was often shown through practical acts, like preparing fruit - a quiet but powerful symbol of affection and care. As adults, it’s common to find ourselves disconnected from forms of care, struggling to apply the same compassion to ourselves.

Who is this Program for?

The program is specifically tailored and designed for adults (18+) across Australia who identify as People of Colour (POC). Folks who are:

→ Ready to learning practical skills of self compassion through a culturally responsive lens.

→ Longing for a space that honours their lived experience navigating burnout, identity fatigue, or emotional suppression.

→You’re interested in culturally informed coaching that goes beyond traditional therapy, seeking to incorporate holistic practices from various modalities, including ACT, Schema Therapy, Coaching, and Compassion Focused Therapy.

→You’re eager to learn from Psychologists with lived experience in the nuanced act of “cutting fruit” and over a decade of clinical expertise in addressing challenges similar to yours.

→You want to be part of something meaningful as a part of a group of liked-minded community.

Who is this Program not suitable for?

This program may not be the best fit if:

  • If you're currently in crisis or need intensive support such as suicidality, family violence, or require intensive support.

  • If you’re already a client of the facilitator - this ensures that dual boundaries are maintained ethically.

  • If you’re enrolled in another coaching program

  • If you’re seeking group therapy (this is coaching - focused on optimising growth in an action-oriented environment, not addressing psychological issues or mental health diagnoses)

  • If you have a personal relationship with the facilitator such as a friend, family or acquaintance. These exclusions help maintain the program's integrity and prevent any potential conflicts of interest.

Do I need prior experience with therapy or coaching?

No prior therapy or coaching experience required.

This program is designed to be accessible to anyone ready to engage in self-compassion and reparenting skills, whether you're new to these concepts or have some familiarity. We’ll guide you step by step through practical and experiential exercises.

What if i’m unsure?

Reach out. We’re happy to talk it through. Once enrolled, we’ll send you a welcome questionnaire to ensure this space is aligned with your needs.

Why a group specifically for POC?

Because culturally informed spaces shouldn’t be rare. They should be standard.

This group was created specifically to centre the stories, wisdom, and challenges of those who often have to filter or explain themselves in other spaces. It’s a place to unlearn that. To rest. To reconnect. To be fully seen.

As part of the Middle Bridge Project’s mission and values, this program is designed specifically for POC. It offers a space where those from culturally diverse backgrounds can share, connect, learn, and grow in an environment that honours their unique experiences.

POC often face challenges like racial discrimination, microaggressions, and cultural stigmas that can be hard to discuss in mixed spaces. This group allows for open expression without fear of judgment, making it a safe space for personal growth and collective community wisdom.

Is this your first time running this?

Not at all. We ran this program previously and the feedback was deeply affirming. We've refined the content, slowed the pace, and made space for even more presence.

This is the second chapter of something we know is growing roots.

We’re proud to offer a deeply intentional and culturally grounded experience that continues to grow alongside our community. It will certainly not be the last in our mission to create inclusive and culturally informed and responsive programs, by and for culturally diverse folks.

What happens if there aren’t enough people signed up?

This program is designed to be a shared, relational experience where learning is co-created through presence, dialogue, and community connection. To honour the integrity of the space and ensure a meaningful group dynamic, we require a minimum of 6 participants to go ahead.

If we don’t reach that number, we’ll be in touch to offer you alternative options, such as joining the next cohort, having the self paced modules only or receiving a full refund. You’ll also have the opportunity to stay connected. We deeply value your interest and your time, and we want to ensure the experience is spacious, grounded, and well-held for everyone involved.

What if I’m not in Australia?

Right now, this offering is for those based in Australia but we’re working on expanding access in the near future. Reach out if you'd like to be the first to know when it opens internationally.
