If you’re resonating with the name of this program, you’re likely in the right place.
Our hope is to invite you to carve a small part of your week to "cut fruit" for yourself, even a small piece.
You will take invaluable lessons and strengths of your cultural upbringing and use them to nurture self kindness and care in your adult life.
Even as adults we can learn new ways to foster kindness and show up for ourselves with wisdom and respect.

Fruitfully Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the significance of the group program name?
The act of "cutting fruit" is a simple yet deeply meaningful gesture rooted in many ethnic families. For those of us who grew up in multicultural or immigrant households, overt expressions of love weren't always the norm. Instead, care was often shown through practical acts, like preparing fruit—a quiet but powerful symbol of affection and care. As adults, it’s common to find ourselves disconnected from forms of care, struggling to apply the same compassion to ourselves.
Who is the How to Cut Fruit For Yourself™ Program For:
The program is specifically tailored and designed for adults (18+) across Australia who identify as People of Colour (POC).
You are open to learning practical skills and participating in experiential exercises that promote self-care and self-kindness. You're ready to explore new ways of engaging with your inner dialogue and taking committed actions that reflect kindness and respect towards yourself.
You’re interested in culturally informed coaching that goes beyond traditional therapy, seeking to incorporate holistic practices from various modalities, including ACT, Schema Therapy, Coaching, and Compassion Focused Therapy.
You’re eager to learn from a Psychologist with lived experience in the nuanced act of “cutting fruit” and over a decade of clinical expertise in addressing challenges similar to yours.
You want to be part of something meaningful—contributing to the first pilot program from the Middle Bridge Project, where your voice and feedback will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our programs and visions.
Who is This Program Not Suitable For (Exclusion Criteria):
This program may not be the bet fit if:
You are already enrolled in another coaching program—focusing on one journey at a time often leads to the most meaningful outcomes.
You are currently a therapy client of the facilitator—this ensures that dual boundaries are maintained ethically.
You are experiencing a crisis or severe difficulties, such as suicidality, family violence, or require intensive support.
You are looking for group therapy. Group Coaching differs from group therapy; it focuses on optimising and achieving specific goals and personal growth in an action-oriented environment, rather than addressing psychological issues or mental health disorders
You have a personal relationship with the facilitator, such as being a close friend, family member, or close acquaintance. These exclusions help maintain the program's integrity and prevent any potential conflicts of interest.
Do I need prior experience with therapy or coaching?
No prior experience with therapy or self-help programs is necessary. This program is designed to be accessible to anyone ready to engage in self-compassion and reparenting skills, whether you're new to these concepts or have some familiarity. We’ll guide you step by step through practical and experiential exercises.
Is this program right for me?
This program is ideal for People of Colour (POC) or those from multicultural backgrounds seeking a culturally responsive space for self-care, reparenting, and emotional well-being. If you struggle with self-sacrifice, people-pleasing, or expressing love and care for yourself, this program could be a supportive space for you.
If you're unsure, feel free to contact us to discuss your specific needs. Once enrolled, you’ll complete a questionnaire to help tailor the program to your cultural identity, needs, and goals.
Why a group specifically for POC?
As part of the Middle Bridge Project’s mission and values, this pilot program is designed specifically for POC. It offers a space where those from culturally diverse backgrounds can share, connect, learn, and grow in an environment that honours their unique experiences. This group provides a supportive setting for meaningful self-work, helping members develop a stronger, more compassionate relationship with themselves.
POC often face challenges like racial discrimination, microaggressions, and cultural stigmas that can be hard to discuss in mixed spaces. This group allows for open expression without fear of judgment, making it a safe space for personal growth and collective community wisdom.
This is the first launch for a Beta Program for the Middle Bridge Project. It will certainly not be the last in the mission to create inclusive and culturally informed and responsive programs, by and for culturally diverse folks.
Not in Australia?
Currently, our online program is available only for those residing in Australia. However, we plan to expand internationally as we grow. Future courses and free resources will be available for those outside of Australia, so stay tuned and feel free to connect with us to share your interest!
